LAUREN MCDOWELL is a photographer based in Charlotte, NC.

After developing a love of photography as a teenager, Lauren studied photography at the University of Southern California, from where she recieved her undergraduate degree in 2019. Her work has been featured in i-D Magazine, as well as in a number of arts venues across the Southeast. (See CV here)

Lauren works in analogue and digital photography, She has continued her ongoing education in photography with coursework at The Light Factory Center for Photography, The Harvey B. Gantt Center, Anderson Ranch (completing a Masterclass in portraiture under Catherine Opie), MONO NO AWARE film center, among others.
